    Instruction Manual DEFINITIONS Anchorage A secure point of attachment for lifelines, lanyards, or deceleration devices. Attachment Point A loop or “D” ring connected (integrally) to the body support that provides a means for attachment of other components of the fall protection system. Body Harness Means straps, which may be secured about the worker in a manner that will distribute the fall arrest forces over at least the thighs, pelvis, waist, chest and...

    TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Before using Frontline Fall Protection product, user and employers must ensure that the person using this equipment has been trained on the proper use, care and maintenance of this product by a competent person qualified in Fall Protection.

    DESCRIPTION The Frontline 4-Way anchor plate is an active fall protection system that meets all of the design requirements or applicable standards set forth by OSHA 1926, 1910 and ANSI Z359: The anchor can be used for 1 person in fall arrest or two in fall restraint.

  • Page 18 Instruction Manual Swing Fall: The swing fall hazard is created by the pendulum effect, which can swing a fallen worker into a nearby surface, such as a wall or protruding beam. In addition to calculating the total fall clearance distance before beginning work on an elevated level, it is important to evaluate the swing fall hazard at the edges where a worker might fall.

  • Page 20 Instruction Manual CONCRETE INSTALLATION When installing onto concrete Frontline requires only fully cured concrete and a minimum strength of 3,000 psi 6” thick concrete. The substrate also must withstand the required 5,000 lbs minimum breaking strength and approved before use by a qualified person. Thereafter, then follow the next steps: 1.

FIGURE 6 WOOD INSTALLATION When installing into wood Frontline requires wood substrate of minimum 5/8” thick CDX plywood, a ¾” backer support board and all fasteners must penetrate completely through the substrate. The substrate also must withstand the required 5,000 lbs minimum breaking strength and approved before use by a qualified person.
