Instruction Manual DEFINITIONS Anchorage A secure point of attachment for lifelines, lanyards, or deceleration devices. Attachment Point A loop or “D” ring connected (integrally) to the body support that provides a means for attachment of other components of the fall protection system. In addition to calculating the total fall clearance distance before beginning work on an elevated level, it is important to evaluate the swing fall hazard at the edges where a worker might fall.
