    INTRODUCTION Thanks for purchasing the WEN Circular Saw. We know you are excited to put your tool to work, but first, please take a moment to read through the manual. Safe operation of this tool requires that you read and understand this operator’s manual and all the labels affixed to the tool.

    ELECTRICAL INFORMATION (CHARGER) DOUBLE-INSULATED CHARGER The charger’s electrical system is double-insulated where two systems of insulation are provided. This eliminates the need for the usual three-wire grounded power cord. Double-insulated tools do not need to be grounded, nor should a means for grounding be added to the product. All exposed metal parts are isolated from the internal metal components with protecting insulation.

    TOOL PURPOSE Easily make miter cuts and rough cuts on large sheets of material with your WEN Circular Saw. Refer to the follow- ing diagrams to become familiarized with all the parts and controls of your circular saw. The components will be referred to later in the manual for assembly and operation instructions.

    ASSEMBLY & ADJUSTMENTS WARNING! To avoid injury from accidental startups, be sure that the tool is switched OFF and the battery is removed from the tool before inspecting the unit, making adjustments, or changing accessories. INSTALLING/REPLACING THE SAW BLADE Use saw blades with 4-1/2 inch (115mm) diameter and 3/8 inch (9.53mm) arbor. Do not use a blade that does not match the diameter or arbor size.
  • Page 15 ASSEMBLY & ADJUSTMENTS SETTING THE DEPTH OF CUT Before making a cut, it is important to set the correct cutting depth. The saw’s maximum cutting depth at 90° is 1-11/16 inch (43mm) and at 45° it is 1-1/8" (28mm). We recommend adjusting the cutting depth about 1/16 inch (2mm) deeper than the thickness of the material.

The saw’s maximum cutting depth at 90° is 1-11/16 inch (43mm) and at 45° it is 1-1/8" (28mm). Be sure to set your saw to the proper depth for the angle you are using.
