Desired stations must be preset in order to carry out preset tuning. Please verify the position
of the STATION
NAME
AND
PRESET switch on the rear panel.

Notes:
1. When a broadcasting frequency is preset into a key in which
a frequency has previously been stored, the previously stored
frequency will be canceled and only the new frequency will be
stored in memory.
2. When the station names are displayed, only the numeric keys
1 —6
are available for presetting. Presetting into numeric keys
7 —0 is impossible.
3. In numerals
or characters
are mistakenly
input, press the
CLEAR key. The input standby mode will be resumed.
Perform the procedure from the beginning.

@ How to preset
When station names are not displayed
Check that the STATION NAME AND PRESET switch on
the rear panel is set to the "20" position. if not, unplug the
power cord and set the switch to the "20" position.
1. Referring to "Tuning to a Broadcasting Station", tune
to the desired station to be preset.
2. Select the channel group A or B with the A/B select
key.
3. Press the ENTER key.
®@ The MEMORY
indicator will light up.
4. Within 5 seconds while the MEMORY
indicator is lit,
press the numeric key in which the desired station is to
be preset.
® In this case, any numeric key from 1 to O can be used.

5 seconds
elapse after pressing the
ENTER key, perform the procedures from the begin-
ning.
@ When the preset operation has been completed, the
MEMORY indicator will go out and the preset number
will be displayed.
5. Preset other desired stations in the same
manner as
above.
When station names are displayed
Check that the STATION NAME AND
PRESET switch on
the rear panel is set to the "12" position.
Input example:
An FM station with a frequency of 93.4 MHz is received
and preset into channel A-3 with the characters ''C B E".
1. Tune to the 93.4 MHz FM station.
2. Press the CHARACTER
key.
3. Press the TUNING/CHARACTER
key repeatedly until
"C" appears, then press the DIGIT key.
4. Press the TUNING/CHARACTER
key repeatedly until
"B" appears, then press the DIGIT key.
5. Press the TUNING/CHARACTER
key repeatedly until
"E" appears, then press the DIGIT key.
6. Press the CHARACTER
key.
7. At this point, according to ''How to Preset' above,
select the channel group A with the A/B select key,
then press the ENTER key and "3" in order.
