@ Tuning to a broadcasting station
Auto tuning
By pressing the TUNING/CHARACTER
key, a broadcast-
ing station will be searched and tuned in automatically. In
the FM band, stereo or monaural reception mode will be
selected automatically according to the broadcast signal.
1. Press the AUTO/MANUAL
(MONO)
key so that the
AUTO indicator tights up.
2. Press
the TUNING/CHARACTER
key to tune to a
broadcasting station.
® Each
time the UP side is pressed,
the frequency
changes to higher frequencies to search for a broad-
casting station automatically. When
a broadcasting
station is found, the frequency stops automatically.
® Each time the DOWN
side is pressed, the frequency
changes to lower frequencies.
® When a broadcasting station is tuned in, the corre-
sponding frequency will appear in the display.
3. Repeat the above procedure until the desired station is
received.
Manual tuning
A broadcasting station which has weak signal strength
may not be able to be located with auto tuning operation.
In such a case, use the manual tuning method to receive
a monaural broadcast.
1. Press the AUTO/MANUAL
(MONO)
key so that the
AUTO indicator light goes out.
2. Press the TUNING/CHARACTER
key to tune to the
desired broadcasting station.
®@ Each
time the UP side is pressed,
the frequency
changes step by step to higher frequencies. When it
is held pressed, the frequency is changed
continu-
ously.
© Each time the DOWN
side is pressed, the frequency
changes step by step to lower frequencies.
@ When a broadcasting station is tuned in, the corre-
sponding frequency will appear in the display.
3. Repeat the above procedure until the desired station is
received.
