1 Press DSP repeatedly until your desired
programmed surround effect appears in
the display.
As you press the button, the display
changes as follows:
SURROUND OFF — HALL ——* LIVE
When the mode is You will hear
The natural acoustic
HALL
(SUR 1 {{ttumni]}) sound having a
reverberation effect
that is produced ina
large-sized concert
hall.
LIVE The sound with such
(SUR 2 ({Itmn}} ) a sense of presence as
if you were ina live
concert.
2 Press and hold down DSP for more than
a second to adjust the DSP level.
"LEVEL 0" appears in the display.

3 Press < and (CURSOR CONTROL).
As you press the < and ®, the level
changes as follows:
VELO ~—» LEVEL 1 ~~ LEVEL 2~-» LEVEL3
Surround effect becomes stronger in
order of LEVEL 0, LEVEL 1, LEVEL 2,
and LEVEL 3.
4. Press ENTER/NEXT.
To turn off the programmed
surround effect
Press DSP repeatedly until "SURROUND
OFF" appears in the display.
Notes
e When you choose other sound effects, the
surround effects will be canceled. :
¢ If you want to put the effect into memory,
store it into a personal file (see "Making
Your Personal Audio Emphasis File
(personal file)").

Making Your Personal
Audio Emphasis File
(personal file)
You can create a personal file of audio
patterns and store them in the player's
memory. Later, call up this audio pattern to
play a favourite tape, CD, or radio
programme. You can create up to five
audio files.

1 obtain the sound effect you want. (See
"Selecting the Audio Emphasis" and
"Adjusting the Audio Emphasis" for
details.)
2 Adjust the sound with the CURSOR
CONTROL (See "Adjusting the Audio
Emphasis" for details.)
3 Press MEMORY.
"MEMORY" appears and "F 1-5"
flashes in the display.

4 Press one of the FILE 1 ~5 buttons
where you want the sound effect.
"MEMORY" disappears and the name
of the file you stored appears in the
display.
To call up the personal file
Press FILE SELECT (or MUSIC. MENU @/¢
on the remote) to select P FILE. The P FILE
indicator lights up. Then press one of the
FILE 1 -5 buttons (or MUSIC MENU ¢/®
on the remote).
To erase the personal file
Store a new personal file at a previously
used personal file number (FILE 1-5) to
erase the old personal file.
Note
If you press DSP (SURROUND for
LBT-N355) when you choose one of the
preset settings (SELECT 5 and MORE 5),
the preset setting will be canceled
automatically.
