Notes on the Recording
Functions
What is Dolby NR*?
Dolby NR is a recording technology that
reduces the high-frequency tape hiss that is
audible when listening to soft music.
*
Dolby noise reduction manufactured

What is Tape Select Edit?
Tape Select Edit is a function that selects
the exact length of tape needed to record a
particular CD. Once you insert a CD and
press the button, the CD is recorded (with
all of the tracks in the same sequence as on
the CD) on sides A and-B automatically.
The optimum length of time needed to
record the total playback time is shown on
the display. Using a tape of the indicated
length makes it possible to record the entire
CD without any tracks being cut off in the
middle.
When the tracks are to be recorded in
sequence, they are divided between sides A
and B and a tape length is selected that will
allow for recording without any tracks
being cut in the middle and that will leave
as little blank as possible.
