Search using fast forward or fast reverse - Manual Search

For about two seconds after the key is pressed, the scan
speed is fairly slow, after that, it changes to high speed.
With the video part of CDV, the scan speed does not change
to high speed.
Normal playback resumes as soon as the button is released.
When fast-forward playback reaches the end of the disc,
the player enters pause mode with CLV discs, while a still
frame is displayed with CAV discs. (Vvhen fast-forward
playback reaches the end of the video part of a CDV disc,
the player enters pause mode.)
When
fast-forward playback reaches the end of the CD
disc, the unit enters pause mode.
When
fast-reverse playback reaches the beginning .of the
disc, normal playback resumes.

CD/CDViaudio part}: Sound is heard at a small volume level.
Notes on CLV (extended play) discs

When a CLV disc is scanned, the colors may fade and
the picture may become distorted.
e@ The scanning speed of a CLV disc varies depending on
the radial distance of the laser pickup from the center of
the disc.
