PATTERNS
APPEARING
ON
A
TV
PROGRAM
Stripe patterns may appear during a TV program if the player
unit is turned on,
depending on the quality of reception of
the TV station. This is neither a malfunction of the television
nor the player. If stripes appear while watching the TV, or
when watching the TV for long periods of time, turn the
player off.
CONDENSATION
Moisture will form in the operating section of the player
if the player is brought from cool surroundings into a
warm
room
or if the temperature
of the room
rises
suddenly. When this happens, player's performance will
be impaired.
Topreventthis, let the player stand inits new surroundings
for about an hour before switching it on, or make sure
that the room temperature rises gradually.
The same, symptoms of condensation may be caused during
summer, if the player is exposed to the breeze from an air
conditioner. In such cases change the location of the player.
POWER-CORD CAUTION
Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull out the plug by tugging
the cord and never touch the power cord when your hands are wet
as this could cause a short circuit or electric shock. Do not place the
unit, a piece of furniture, etc., on the power cord, or pinch the cord.
Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other cords. The power
cords should be routed such that they are not likely to be stepped on.
A damaged power cord can cause fire or give you an electrical shock.
Check the power cord once in a while. When you find it damaged, ask
your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer for a
replacement.
CLEANING CARE
Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. For stubborn dirt, soak the
cloth in a solution of household detergent diluted using 1 part
detergent to five or six parts water; wring well first and wipe.
Use a dry cloth to wipe it dry. Do not use any volatile agents
such as benzine or paint thinner, as they may damage the
surface of the player.
Abnormal functioning of this unit may be caused by
lightning,
static
electricity,
or other
external
interference. To restore normal operation, turn the
power off and then on again, or unplug the AC power
cord and then plug it in again.

RAYURES APPARAISSANT SUR UN PRO-
GRAMME TV
Des rayures peuvent apparaitre pendant un programme TV si
le lecteur est sous tension, selon la qualité de la reception de
la station TV. Ceci n'est pas un mauvais fonctionnement du
téléviseur ni du lecteur. Si des rayures apparaissent lorsque
vous regardez la télévision ou si vous avez lintention de la
regarder pendant longtemps, mettre le lecteur hors tension.
CONDENSATION
Del''humidité se formerasur la section de fonctionnement
du lecteur si celui-ci est transporté d'un endroit froid a
une piéce chaude ou si la température de Ia piéce s'éleve
brusquement.
Quand ceci se produit, la performance du
lecteur sera affectée.
Pour éviter ceci, laisser le lecteur pendant environ une
heure dans son nouvel environnement avant de le mettre
sous tension ou s'assurer que la température de Ia piéce
s'éléve graduellement.
Les mémes symptémes de condensation peuvent se produire
en été sile lecteur est exposé al'air d'un climatiseur. Dans un
tel cas, changer |'emplacement du lecteur.

LE
D'ALIMENTATION
Tenir le cable d'alimentation par la fiche. Ne pas débrancher la prise
en tirant sur Je cable et ne pas toucher le cable avec les mains
mouillées. Cela risque de provoquer un court-circuit ou un choc
électrique. Ne pas poser l'appareil ou un meuble sur le cable. Ne pas
pincer le cable. Ne pas faire de noeud avec le cable ou l'attacher a
d'autres cables. Les cables d'alimentation doivent étre posés de
facon ane pas étre écrasés. Un cable abimé peut provoquer un risque
d'incendie ou un choc électrique. Vérifier le cable d'alimentation de
temps en temps. Contacter le service aprés-ventePIONEER le plus
proche ou le revendeur pour un remplacement.
NETTOYAGE
Pour le nettoyer, utiliser un chiffon doux et sec.
En cas de
tache tenace, tremperle chiffon dans une solution de détergent
domestique contenant une partie de détergent pour cing ou
six parties d'eau; bien essorer le chiffon et essuyer.
Utiliser
un chiffon sec pour sécher. N'utiliser aucun agent volatil tel
que la benzine ou les diluants pour peinture qui pourraient
endommager fa surface du lecteur.
CABLE
Un fonctionnement anormal de cet appaieil peut étre
dia a l'éclairage, l'electricite statique, ou-toute autre
interférence externe. Pour que l'appareilionctionne a
nouveau normalement, éteignez-le et ralaimez-le, ou
débranchez
le cordon
d'alimentation

rebranchez-le.
