TROUBLESHOOTING
Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this component, check the
points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Investigate the other components and electrical appliances being used.
lf the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, as your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer
to carry out repair work.

No tape transportation.
The power plug may be loosely inserted or
removed.
Secure the power plug.

The deck enters the pause mode.
Press the pause button again.
| The cassette tape is not placed properly.
Replace the cassette tape properly.
Secure connections by inserting connection cords firmly
or putting back the removed cords.
Controls on the amplifier are not set properly.
Set the controls properly for the deck playing back.
The erasure prevention tabs are broken
Change cassette tapes or seal the broken tabs with adhe-
sive tape (see page 4).
Heads are dirty.

The recording Jevel control is set to "MIN".
Turn the control from MIN to the right position.
Connection failure.
Secure connections by inserting cords firmly or replacing
the removed cords.
Secure the input/output connections by inserting cords
properly.
