can be played one frame at a time in either the forward or
reverse direction by pressing one of these buttons.

NOTE:
With CL Vises, Still Frame, Frame-by-Frame or Multi-Speed operation
is not possible. If
STEP or MULTI-SPEED is pressed during playback
ofa CLV disc, the warning message "CLV" will be displayed for about
2 seconds on the screen.
If playback automatically switches to still frame display mode.
if a disc containing special signals called "picture stop codes" is
played at x1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/30 or 1/90 speed, playback
pauses automatically whenever the unit encounters a frame where
a picture stop code is encoded, and the still picture of that frame is
displayed on the monitor screen. To move from that position, press
