Complete the following steps:
a. Set the Power switch to Off.
b. Complete the following checklist:

The power cord is properly connected to the display station.
D
There is power to the electrical outlet.
D
The Alarm and Brightness controls are turned toward the keyboard
(steps 12 and 14).
D
The display unit cable is fastened securely to the lower unit socket
(step
5).
D
The Address and
CE
switches are set as shown in the following
illustration:

c. Set the Power switch to On.
Note: If numbers or letters appear on either side of the status line, use the
keyboard template to determine the problem.

If after completing the above steps and checks you still do not see the dash
(-), display indicators (--), and cursor ( I) appear, contact your service
representative and report the problem.
