Set the Focus Mode Selector to "AUTO".
e@While watching the picture in the EVF, aim the S-VHS Movie at
the subject on which you want to focus.

Note
This Auto Focus system does not measure the actual distance but
adjusts the lens to the optimum focusing condition based on the
video signal. Therefore, the distance setting on the lens may be
different from the actual distance in some cases. However, this is
not an indication of a malfunction.

Focusing Zone Selection with the Focus Adjusting Button
The focus will automatically be adjusted to the object within the
focusing zone.

ZONE SELECT
Every time the S-VHS Movie is turned
on, the smaller focusing zone frame is
automatically selected. Use this setting
when shooting at the wide position of the
zoom lens or when the subject to be shot
is very small.
Focusing Zone Frame
Set to this size to shoot a moving subject
or for panning and tilting.
