S (Separate)-Video Output Socket
Socket
The conventional video jack of VTRs outputs a combination of the
luminance (Y) and color (C) signals which are recorded on the
video tape. The new S (Separate)-Video Socket allows separate
transmission of the two signals (Y) and (C) to a TV set or another
VTR that have S-Video Input for improved picture quality and color
