Even with less th n extremely
ggressive processing, the SCA region is much more
rigorously gu rded from interference from the stereo subc rrier.
The FM Filter C rd (C rd #0) repl ces the s fety clippers in the OPTIMOD-FM Audio
Processor with
p ir of overshoot-compens ted, low-p ss filters in order to
signific ntly reduce (by 25-30dB) "spl tter" in the SCA region of the b seb nd,
s
comp red with the "stock" 8100A or 8100A/1.
It
lso reduces
ny residu l overshoot
by
bout 6%.
C rd #0 is inst lled in the sign l p th between the output of the existing C rds #8
nd
#9 (filters)
nd the input of C rd #7 (stereo gener tor).
The frequency response of
the C rd is typic lly +0, -O.ldB, 30-15, 000Hz.
An 8100A/1 cont ining this c rd will
therefore perform well within its +0.75dB specific tion limit.
