Standard:
DPR8EA-9 (NGK) or
x24EPR-U9 (ND)
For cold climate:

DPRTEA-9 (NGK)

extended high
speed
riding:
DPR9EA-9 (NGK) or
X27EPR-U9 (ND)

Disconnect the spark
plug
caps.
2.
Clean
any
dirt from
around
the
spark
plug
bases.
3.
Rcmovc and discard the spark
plugs.
4.
Make sure the
new
spark plug gap
(l)
is
0.8-0.9
rnm
(0.031-0.035
in)
using
a
rvilc-typc
ltcler
gauge.
If
adjustment
is
ncccssary,
bend
the
side electrode
(2)
carcl'u
lly.
5.
With tlrc
lrlug
rvashers
attached, rhrcad
thc nov
spark
plugs
in
by
hand
to
pre-
vent cross-thrcading.

Tighten
the
spark
plugs
l/2
turn
with
a
spark plug
wrench
to
compress
thc
washer.
7.
Reinstall the spark
plug
caps.
CAUTION:
*
The
spark
plug
must
be
securely
tighten-
ed.
An
improperly
tightened
plug
can
become
very
hot
and'
possibly
damage
the
engine.
*
Never
use
a
spark
plug
with
an
improper
heat
range.
