Press the REPRO switch(es).

on Line Output is 700 Hz (the input signal).
Press the PLAY nd RECORD buttons on the
tr nsport.
Record several minutes of 500 Hz tone.
Press the RTZ button on the tr nsport. Ch nge
the input sign l to 700 Hz.
If necessary, adjust the REC level until the
meter reads 0 VU.
Press the READY switch(es) on the udio elec ­
tronics p nel(s).
The amber LED(s) turn ON.
Press the RECORD switch on the tr nsport.
The red LED(s) turn ON.
Press the REPRO switch(es).
The output shown on the VU meter and heard
on the Line Output is 700 Hz. (The reproduce
head is monitoring the signal immediately after
it is recorded).
Press the REPRO switch.
The output shown on the VU meter and heard
on the Line Output is 500 Hz. (The previously
recorded signal).
Press the INPUT switch(es).
The output shown on the VU meter and heard
on the Line Output is 700 Hz. (The input signal).
Press the CUE switch(es).
The output shown on the VU meter and heard
on the Line Output is 500 Hz. (The record head
is monitoring the previously recorded signal).
Press the INPUT switch(es).
The output shown on the VU meter and heard
NOTE:
We now have 500 Hz recorded on the tape,
and 700 Hz applied to the input. We can easi ­
ly tell, by listening, whether we are playing
back the previously recorded 500 Hz or the
700 Hz from the input.
Press STOP.
