STO light is ON. Reels wind up loose tape and
establish idle tension.
> — Adjusts low end equalization for medium
speed (15 ips).
OUT — Selects repro head output for meter
display.
Turn the Power Switch ON. (Loc ted inside the
well t the bottom of the c binet.)
Meter lights come ON. All transport function
lights are OFF.
Press the FWD button.
STO
light goes OFF. FWD light comes ON.
Tape lifters lift tape away from the heads. The
tape accelerates to a fast movement in the FWD
direction.

for the two reels.
MED SPEED
< — Adjusts high end equalization for medium
speed (15 ips).
LO SPEED
< — Adjusts high end equalization for low
speed (7-1/2 ips).

The
takeup
reel
starts
turning
counterclockwise. The supply reel starts turn ­
ing clockwise. The speed of rotation for both
reels is approximately 20 rpm — or about 1 turn
