4 operation 4 Operation WARNING ! death This power supply generates High Voltage and High energy. Because there is danger of serious injury by electrical shock handle the unit carefully according to the following instruction. CAUTION ! Never remove the top cover of unit when operation. 4-1...
4 operation 4-2 Setting of filament limit Set the filament limit according to the following instruction when operate the power supply for the first time, or after X-ray tube is replaced. 1. Turn Anode voltage setting dial(VOLTAGE) and Anode current setting dial(CURREN) counterclockwise, and verify they are in “0”...
4 operation 4-3 Protection 4-3-1 Blackout protection This unit is equipped with a circuit for prevention of action once again when the power failure is corrected. Even if power failure condition is corrected while OUTPUT on, the unit does not resume output.
5 Advanced Operation 5 Advanced Operation 5-1 Introduction This section explains Remote Programming Operation. Remote operation enables such functions as external control or monitor. By using GP-IB/IEEE488 or RS 232C adapter (option), it is possible for the computer to operate power supply variously.
5 Advanced Operation 5-3 Changing internal control (INT)/external control (EXT) Use the external switch to select controlling the front panel setting dial or the rear panel TB1 interface connector. Select to EXT, and the output anode voltage and the output anode current can be set with the external voltage source.
5 Advanced Operation 5-4 External voltage control 5-4-1 Voltage control by external voltage 0-10Vdc external voltage can control the output voltage within the range of 0-100%. However, anode voltage is set under 3kV, due to the filament protection function, there shall be no anode current.
5 Advanced Operation 5-6 Door switch(LD)= Interlock Select the external switch to OFF, and the high voltage output is cut off. When the output is once cut off, high voltage cannot be output for extra safety even if the external switch is selected to ON.
5 Advanced Operation 5-7 Anode current monitor, Anode voltage monitor 5-7-1 Anode current monitor 10V voltage is output at the maximum output current. The output impedance is 1kΩ. 5-7-2 Output voltage monitor 10V voltage is output at the maximum output voltage. The output impedance is 1kΩ. 1kΩ...
5 Advanced Operation 5-9 Remote reset The external switch can reset the cut-off condition by output over current. (OCP) (The open collector can be also used) Switch 5 short = Output reset OPEN SHORT RESET Switch 5 “L” = Output reset Fig 5-8 Diagram of r emote reset circuit...
6 Option 6 Option 6-1 100V input voltage (L(100V)) With this option the input is to be 100 to 120VAC single phase while the standard input is 200 to 240VAC single phase. Make sure the proper AC input voltage with input voltage indication on rear panel. 6-2...
