Installation

IMPORTANT: This guide is a quick reference only for
common features of the product and troubleshooting tips.
Please read and reference the full instruction manual for
installation, safety, and additional information.
□
Determine the mounting location – ceiling/
eave or wall mount.
□
To remove the mounting plate, rotate the tab on
the mounting plate towards the UNLOCK symbol
until it is aligned with the UNLOCK symbol on
the main body, and pull up on the tab.
□
Install 4 x Alkaline "D" 1.5 V batteries (not
included) into the battery compartment. Ensure
the polarity (+ & - ) of the batteries is correct
as shown in the battery compartment.
□
Place the mounting plate against the ceiling or
wall and mark the hole locations.
□
If mounting to a wooden surface, install the 3
mounting screws through the mounting plate
and into the wood with a screwdriver or with a
drill and bit driver.
□
If mounting to wall board or brick, drill three
pilot holes into the mounting surface using
a 7/32 inch drill bit. Insert the wall pegs
and attach the mounting plate using the 3
mounting screws.

HC-3712 Battery Operated Light

Insert the main body of the light onto the
mounting plate with the tab lined up with the
UNLOCK position, and rotate the main body
CLOCKWISE until it locks into place. The tab
will now be lined up with the LOCK symbol.
The light should now be held firmly in place on
the mounting bracket.
