Performing
Auto-equalization
1. Adjust the network referring to page 18.
2. Park the car in as quiet place as
possible, close the doors, windows and
sunroof and stop the engine.
When the engine is on, auto-
equalization cannot be carried out
correctly.
3. Using the provided belt, install the
microphone on the center of the
headrest of driver's seat securely by
pointing it toward the front. (Fig. 26)

The created auto-equalizer curve is
variable depending on the microphone
installation position. If desired, it is also
possible to perform auto-equalization
by installing the microphone on the
navigator's seat.
4. Plug the provided microphone into the
microphone input jack [13] of the hide-
away unit. (Fig. 27)

5, Switch the car ignition switch to ACC or
ON.

{f the air conditioner or heater of the car
is on, switched it off. The noise of the
air conditoner or hearter may disturb
correct auto-equalizing.
6. Switch the power of the head unit ON.
(Refer to the owner's manual of the
head unit.)
