Keep the area around the air intake (toe kick) and adjacent sur-
rounding areas free from lint, dust and dirt.
The interior of the machine should be cleaned periodically by
qualified personnel.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of malfunction or
breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by pro-
viding a path of least resistance for electric current. This appliance is
equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding conductor and
a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate out-
let that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all lo-
cal codes and ordinances.
WARNING – Improper connection of the equipment-grounding
conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Contact a qualified
electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the appliance is properly
grounded.
Temporary or permanent operation on an autonomous power sup-
ply system or a power supply system that is not synchronized with
the grid power supply (e.g., island networks, back-up systems) is
possible. A prerequisite for operation is that the power supply sys-
tem complies with national and local codes.
The function and operation of the protective measures provided in
the domestic electrical installation and in this Miele product must
also be maintained in isolated operation or in operation that is not
synchronized with the grid power supply, or these measures must be
replaced by equivalent measures in the installation.
