The SharpShot is housed in a compact desktop style package that is intended to fit next to a computer keyboard. The power and interface connectors are located on the rear.
If you are using USB to connect to a host computer, use a standard USB A-B cable. A driver is available which maps the SharpShot to a serial port in all modern versions of Windows. Consult your application documentation for more details to on how configure your SharpShot for your application.
The SharpShot operates as a generic controller. As a generic controller, the SharpShot connects to a host computer, which acts on button presses and sends feedback to the SharpShot in the form of text or graphics on the 8 LCD buttons.

SharpShot User Manual After setting the network settings to suit your needs and verifying that the serial and connection settings are correct, click on the APPLY SETTINGS item to commit the new settings to memory and restart the Ethernet Interface with the new settings. Keep in mind that if the IP address of the Ethernet Interface has been changed, you will need to enter the new IP address in your web browsers address bar.
