GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The AIR VANTAGE
®
800 (AU) CUMMINS is a diesel engine-driven
welding power source. The machine uses a brush type alternating
current generator for DC multi-purpose welding, for 240 VAC
single phase. The AIR VANTAGE
rotary screw 60 SCFM air compressor built in. The DC welding
control system uses state of the art Chopper Technology for
superior welding performance.
®
The AIR VANTAGE
800 (AU) CUMMINS is fitted with a selectable
VRD(Voltage Reduction Device). The VRD operates in the CC-Stick
mode reducing the OCV to <13 volts, increasing operator safety
when welding is performed in environments with increased hazard
of electric shock such as wet areas and hot, humid sweaty
conditions.

FOR AUXILIARY POWER:

Start the engine and set the IDLER control switch to the desired
operating mode. Full power is available regardless of the welding
control settings providing no welding current is being drawn.

ENGINE OPERATION
