    Always consult your physician before you begin or modify any exercise program. Setting Up Your Watch To take full advantage of the Forerunner features, complete these tasks. • Pair the Forerunner watch with your phone using the Garmin Connect (Pairing Your Phone, page 92).

    Stroke type identification is available only for pool swimming. Your stroke type is identified at the end of a length.     Indoor Activities The watch can be used for training indoors, such as running on an indoor track or using a stationary bike or indoor trainer.
