Remove all of the various packaging, stickers or accessories from both the inside and outside of the kettle.
Fill the kettle with clean water to maximum capacity and boil. Discard the water and repeat the process. The kettle should always be unplugged when filling or adding water.
Place the kettle on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Plug into outlet. The buzzer will sound. Press and hold the "PROG" button for 5 seconds and the Celsius will change to Fahrenheit.
Pour water into the kettle. The amount of water can be measured by the level mark on the outside of the kettle. When on, do not touch any part of the kettle except by the handle. Ensure the Lid (G) is properly closed. Insert the bottom of the kettle (D) onto the cordless base (E). If kettle is not on the base, the LED will display "EO". If properly placed on the base, the LED will display "OFF" and is in the standby mode.

Open the Tea Infuser (F), and place tea inside. Insert Infuser into the Tea Infuser Lid (H), and ensure it is securely inside the kettle.
When brewing tea, you can lift the Tea Infuser up and down by lifting the handle of the Tea Infuser (F).
Unplug it.
Let it cool down and clean it with a damp sponge.
If the appliance keeps switching off before reaching boiling point this is a sign that decalcifying is necessary.
Any regular descaling agent may be used, provided you follow the instructions. Do not fill the kettle to the maximum upper mark to avoid spilling when the water from the descaling agent foams up.
To clean the kettle thoroughly of any decalcification residues let it go through several boiling cycles using clean water with each cycle. Rinse the kettle with clean water after the final boiling cycle.
Do not leave the kettle unattended while boiling. If the kettle is set to boil without water or if the water has evaporated, the automatic shutoff will turn the kettle off. If this happens, unplug from the wall socket immediately and after a cooling down period of about 15—20 seconds, refill and repeat the boiling process.
