KNOW YOUR KETTLE

USING YOUR KETTLE

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Remove all of the various packaging, stickers, or accessories from both the inside and outside of the kettle. Fill the kettle with clean water to maximum capacity and boil. Discard the water and repeat the process.

BOIL WATER FUNCTION

  1. Place the kettle on a stable, horizontal, heat-resistant, and level surface.
  2. Add the desired amount of water to the kettle. Do not fill below the minimum line (0.2L) or above the maximum line (0.6L). See figure 1.

  3. Hold the Kettle Handle and cover the kettle with the Lid.
  4. Plug the kettle into an outlet. The display will read "OFF."
  5. Tap the Power/Menu Button to turn on the kettle. The Indicator Light below Boil Water, and the display, will blink. The kettle will begin boiling in 5 seconds.

Note: To switch between displaying temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius, press and hold the Temperature Button while the water is boiling.

In Fahrenheit mode, the panel will display the temperature value with "°F" when the temperature is lower than 100°F, such as 99°F, but the panel will only display temperature value without "°F" when the temperature is higher or equal to 100°F, such as "140."

In Celsius mode, the panel will display the temperature value with "°C" when the temperature is lower than 100°C.

KEEP WARM FUNCTION

Tap the Power/Menu button to turn the kettle on. While the display is blinking, tap the Power/Menu button once to select the Keep Warm function. The Indicator Light below Keep Warm, and the display, will blink. The Keep Warm function will begin in 5 seconds.

The default Keep Warm temperature is 122°F / 50°C and the range is 86°F-194°F / 30°C-90°C. Press the Temperature Button to increase the temperature by 2 degrees Fahrenheit or 1 degree Celsius. Press and hold the Temperature Button to increase the temperature rapidly.

Once the Keep Warm function begins, the display will show the current temperature.

The default Keep Warm time is 24 hours.

SELF-CLEAN FUNCTION

Pour 3-5 tablespoons (50-80ml) of white vinegar into the kettle, then add water to the maximum line (0.6L).

Tap the Power/Menu Button to turn the kettle on. While the display is blinking, tap the Power/Menu button twice to select the Self-Clean function. The Indicator Light below Self-Clean, and the display, will blink. The function will begin in 5 seconds.

After the standard boiling time, the kettle will boil for an additional 3 minutes to remove the limescale and the kettle will stop. Pour out the water and rinse out the kettle with tap water 4-5 times.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

To extend the service life of the electric kettle, descale it regularly. See "Self-Clean Function."

Unplug the power cord and cool the electric kettle before cleaning.

Don't use steel wool, detergent with chemical ingredients, or powdered detergent to clean the surface of the kettle.

The outside of the electric kettle can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
Display Reads: E0 The kettle is overheated. Unplug the kettle, fill with water, and allow to cool down before using.
Water tastes like plastic This happens when the kettle is new. Fill the kettle with clean water to maximum level and boil. Discard the water and repeat the process.
The kettle is not turning on Check that the power cord is properly connected.
Contact customer service.
The kettle display turns on but is not boiling Select a function and follow the instructions.

Kettle turns off before water is fully boiled Kettle needs descaling. See "Self-Clean Function."

If there is any damage to the kettle or power cord, contact customer service. Only authorized service centers may repair or replace. Do not attempt to dismantle the kettle in any way.

At the end of the life of your product, it should go to a specially adapted waste-recycling center.

By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed information about the recycling of this product, please contact your local council office or your household waste disposal service.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read the user manual carefully before using the product. Keep this user manual for future use. Ignoring the instructions or incorrect operation may result in severe accident or other injuries. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons don't immerse the electric kettle, power cord, power outlet or base in water or other liquids.
  3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  4. Use the handle when handling. Extreme caution must be used when moving a kettle containing hot liquid. Don't touch the hot pot or the hot steam that escapes from the spout and kettle. When boiling water, cover the lid. Don't open the lid during boiling to avoid burns.
  5. Water can remain hot for a considerable time after boiling and can present a safety hazard.
  6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
  7. If there is any damage to the electric kettle, please contact customer service. Users must not repair it themselves.
  8. Position the kettle to the rear of work surface and don't let the power cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. When the electric kettle is idle for a long time, disconnect the power cord.
  9. Don't insert pins, wires or other items into any gaps or openings in the electric kettle to avoid electric shock.
  10. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  11. Always attach plug to appliances first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off," unplug power cord from electrical outlet. Do not disconnect by pulling on cord.
  12. The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided. Don't use this product on sloping countertops or unstable countertops. Keep away from heat sources to avoid damaging plastic parts. Don't place it near or above any electrical appliances. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven.
  13. Don't exceed the indicated maximum water level. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
  14. If there is no water in the kettle, please don't leave it running dry, otherwise it will affect the service life of the product.
  15. When folding the kettle, make sure there is no liquid in the kettle body and the power supply is disconnected.
  16. To avoid damaging the product, do not plug device into outlet with external switcher/timer.
  17. To avoid short circuit or electric shock, don't plug the power cord with wet hands.
  18. Do not use appliance for anything other than intended use.
  19. This appliance is intended for household use only.
  20. Hold the bottom of kettle when removing supply cord.
  21. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliances manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury.
  22. Do not use outdoors.
  23. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
  24. The plug and outlet should avoid any contact with water.
  25. Do not collapse kettle with water inside.


Do not switch on if there is a possibility that the water in the pot is frozen.

Cord Safety

  1. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
  3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
    1. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least equal to the electrical rating of the appliance;
    2. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a groundingtype3-wire cord; and
    3. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Electrical 3-Prong Plug

Appliance is equipped with a 3-prong grounding-type plug. It should be properly connected to a grounding-type outlet. The plug is designed to fit ONLY a 3-grounding outlet unit, and as such, the grounding prong should never be removed. If needed, a 2-prong adapter may be used if local codes allow it.

This kettle can be used in countries that operate on 100-120V and in countries that operate on 220-240V.
