Prolonged exposure to high volume levels can damage your hearing. To avoid injury, set the volume to the lowest comfortable level. If you experience ringing in your ears, or voices sound muffled, stop using the headset. Avoid turning up the volume to block noisy surroundings. It's possible for your ears to adapt to volume that is too high, and this could result in permanent hearing damage without any noticeable discomfort.

Adjust the earpieces for a comfortable fit by lengthening or shortening the headband.
Rotate the microphone down when you need to use it. Align the tip of the boom with the corner of your mouth for best performance.
Connect the USB charger cord into the S450-XT's USB charging port. If the headset is not fully charged, the indicator will turn red. When the indicator turns blue, and stays blue, S450-XT is fully charged. A fully discharged battery will need approximately 4 hours to achieve a complete charge.
While charging, the indicator light shows the charge status of your S450-XT.
Blue light: Fully charged with 24 hours' Indicator Light Location wireless talk/media time.
Red light: Charging.
Your S450-XT headset can be operated while charging.
If you connect the S450-XT to a charger while it is connected via Bluetooth, the headset will reset and shut off.
To turn it back on, slide the switch to the "off" position (if not already done) and then back to the "on" position. This will re-activate the Bluetooth and S450-XT should reconnect to your device.
If you connect the S450-XT to a USB port on your computer, it will function as a USB headset and Bluetooth functionality will be disabled. The headset will continue to charge while in use.
Note: Do not attach the charger during a call. This will cause the headset to reset, and the call will be sent back to the phone.
On: Slide the switch up toward the headband. The LED will flash blue three times and you will hear a voice prompt, "Power on." If your S450-XT is not already paired with a device, it will automatically go into pairing mode; otherwise, it will attempt to connect with its paired device(s).
Off (conserves battery power): Slide the switch down from the headband. The LED will flash red four times and you will hear a voice prompt, "Power off."
Standby Mode: Once the S450-XT is turned on (after the initial pairing), it will attempt to connect to the last device that it was paired with, putting itself into Standby Mode.
Note: NFC and one-touch pairing are dependent on your cell phone. The size and sensitivity of your phone's NFC zone and how to connect the headset may vary between devices.
When you turn your S450-XT on for the first time, or if its Paired Device List has been cleared, it will go into pairing mode automatically. If the S450-XT has already been paired with another device and you are not going to use NFC Pairing, you will need to put it into Pairing Mode manually:
Power on the headset and then press and hold the MFB for approximately 6 seconds until you hear the audio prompt "discovering." The headset LED will be flashing alternating red and blue.
The S450-XT will be visible for pairing to devices for 120 seconds.
Connect the audio cable to the headset and to the 3.5 mm jack connector on your mobile device or PC.
Note: Bluetooth and USB headset functionality are disabled when using the audio cable connection.
Connect the S450-XT to a PC using the supplied micro-USB cable (the audio cable must not be connected to the headset when using USB).
Note: It is not possible to connect to a mobile device wirelessly and to your PC via USB at the same time. (Bluetooth functionality is disabled while there is an active USB connection.)
Play/Pause
Quickly double-tap the MFB to play or pause.
Skip Tracks
To advance to the next track, briefly press the Track Forward button on the front of the earpiece.
To go back a track, briefly press the Track Back button on the rear of the earpiece.
Your S450-XT headset must be on and connected to your phone via Bluetooth.

Listening to Media
Use the provided 3.5 mm cable to listen to media when the battery is exhausted. The S450-XT will be in passive mode and the microphone disabled.
Making/Taking Calls
It is not possible to use the headset for calls when the 3.5 mm cable is connected.
You can connect your S450-XT headset to your computer via USB and use it as a headset.
Note: Bluetooth connection is disabled Volume Down when the S450-XT is connected to your computer as a headset.
The S450-XT has pairing memory for up to 8 devices. The headset can also use Multipoint Mode, which means that it can be connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time.
The S450-XT will monitor both phones and enable you to answer a call on either one from the headset.
If you are on a call and the other device receives a call, you will hear a notification in the headset.
To redial the last number that was dialed from the cell phone, press and hold the Volume Down button for approximately 1 second. A beep will be heard and the phone will redial the last number.
If you are on an active call and a second call comes in, you will hear a low tone notification in the headset. If supported by your phone, you have the following options:
To reject an incoming call when not on another call, press and hold the MFB for 1-2 seconds.
Phone Voice Control (e.g. Siri® or Google NowTM)
Press the MFB once while the S450-XT is in Standby Mode to initiate voice command functions on your phone. Support for this is phone dependent. See your phone's user guide for more information.
The Parrott Button on the S450-XT is configured at point of manufacture to act as a mute. If you have not changed the Parrott Button function, a brief press while on a call will mute the microphone. Press again to unmute.
If the Parrott Button has been reconfigured to do something else, the S450-XT microphone can be muted while on a call by pressing and holding the Volume Up button for 1-2 seconds. A single tone will sound as mute is engaged.
To unmute, press and hold the button again for 1-2 seconds.
While muted, a reminder tone will sound every 10 seconds.
Note: When in USB mode, pressing the Parrott Button will mute and unmute the microphone, even if you have configured it to do something else when it is in Bluetooth mode.
A quick press of the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons together will turn the headset indicator lights off. Repeat to turn the indicator lights on.
When powering on the headset, the indicator lights will be in the same state as they were when last powered off.
This will reset or clear the headset's internal paired devices list. The S450-XT must be on to perform this function.
