SAFETY

By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the damage.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord cannot become entangled.
The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the supply.
This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
This appliance shall not be used by children aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless older than 8 and supervised.
To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.

USE

Slightly grease the anti stick coating of the grill plates with oil or butter.
Plug in the socket.
Set both temperature knobs (upper and bottom grill plate) to the desired temperature.
Check the display to see the exact temperature.
The temperature knobs are used to set and maintain the temperature during cooking. You can vary the temperature at any time during cooking.

Do not use this device to cook or defrost frozen food. All food must be completely defrosted before cooking.
Open the unit by pulling the handle up.
Now place the prepared ingredients on the bottom grill plate and close the grill by pressing the handle downwards. The upper plate tilts in order to provide even pressure. Normal preparation time is 5-8 minutes; the exact time depends on the dish, the set temperature and your personal taste. Because the device is closed the baking process is faster.
You can set the distance between the grill plates by adjusting the grill lock.
The device is also suitable to be used as a table grill. Press the 180° opening button and open flat on a heat-resistant surface.
You can use the timer function by pressing the timer buttons.
Set the desired time.
The display shows the remaining time.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Remove the plug from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool both halves open.
Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or soft brush.
For easy cleaning, you can also remove the plates from the device.
Press the release buttons to release the plates. Clean the plates under running water, then dry them afterwards.
The plates are not dishwasher proof.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
Never immerse the electrical device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.
