BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.
USE
- Plug the device into a 220V-240V socket.
- Switch the On/Off button to the on position to turn the heater on.
- Use the + button to increase the temperature and the – button to reduce (it can be set between 15°C and 32°C).
- Select the desired fan speed, press the fan speed button to choose either high speed (HH) or low speed(LL).
- Switch the On/Off button to the Off position to turn the device off and unplug the heater from the power socket. Store the device in a cool, dry place until the next time you need it.
- If the device stops working because it overheats, unplug it from the power socket and plug it in again.
SETTING THE TIMER
- The heater has a built-in timer that automatically shuts off the device after a pre-set time period.
- After plugging in and turning on the heater press the timer button to activate the timer.
- Press the timer button repeatedly until the display shows the number of hours the heater has to stay on before shutting off. 1 to 12 hours can be selected.
- Once the desired nember of hours is displayed, stop pressng the timer button.
- To cancel the timer, turn off the heater.
Note: For safety reasons, the heater maximum default timer setting is 12 hours.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- The appliance needs only an external regular cleaning.
- Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
- Clean the grilles from dust.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two insulation systems are provided instead of an earth wire. No earthing means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for earthing be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should only be done by qualified service personnel. The replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated appliance is labelled with the words 'CLASS II' or 'DOUBLE INSULATED". It can also be identified with the double insulation symbol.
