INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the Celestron FireCel+! FireCel+ is an essential multi-use tool designed to be used in the elements. Its portable, high-capacity power pack can supply power to your cell phone, MP3 player, and many other USB-powered devices. A built-in flashlight provides illumination while the hand warmer keeps you comfortable in cold conditions.


Read all instructions and warnings thoroughly before using FireCel+. Improper use of this product may result in product damage, excess heat, toxic fumes, fire or explosion. Do not allow children to use this product without proper adult supervision.

CHARGING THE INTERNAL LITHIUM ION BATTERY

Your FireCel+ 3-in-1 device has an internal, 5200 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery, which allows for up to 12 hours of continuous heat when using the hand warmer at a constant temperature of 40° to 45°Celsius (104° to 113°Fahrenheit). FireCel+ also charges multiple USB-powered devices, and is equipped with a red and white LED flashlight.

Your FireCel+ ships with a partial charge, but you should charge it completely before using for the first time.

Follow these steps to charge the internal lithium ion battery:

  1. Attach the Mini USB connector end of the included USB cable to the Mini USB "in" port (6) on your FireCel+.
  2. Plug the standard USB plug end of the cable into a USB port on a PC, laptop, car charger or USB 5V-500mA adapter plug.
  3. Once plugged in, the four blue LEDs (2) will start to blink, indicating that charging is in progress.
  4. Charging is complete when all four blue LEDs (2) stop blinking.

warning NOTE: FireCel+ is designed with overcharge protection to prevent damage to the internal battery.

USING THE HAND WARMER FEATURE

  • First, press and release the multi-function button (4) to check the power level. The blue indicator lights will display the current battery level. (The number of illuminated LEDs corresponds to the charge level: (1) 25%, (2) 50%, (3) 75%, (4) 100%.)
  • Press the multi-function button (4) again to activate one side of the hand warmer. The green and red indicators will illuminate. In this mode, you can also charge an external device.
  • Press the multi-function button (4) again to activate both sides of the hand warmer. Only the red LED indicator will illuminate. You cannot charge an external device in this mode.
  • Press the multi-function button (4) one more time to turn off the hand warmer.

CHARGING AN EXTERNAL DEVICE

  • First, press and release the multi-function button (4) to check the power level. The blue indicator lights will display the current battery level. (The number of illuminated LEDs corresponds to the charge level: (1) 25%, (2) 50%, (3) 75%, (4) 100%.)
  • Plug your device's USB charging cable into the USB 2.0 port (7) on FireCel+.
  • Press and release the multi-function button (4) again. The green indicator light will illuminate and your device should indicate it is charging.
  • When charge is complete, FireCel+ will automatically power off. To manually stop the charging process, remove the charging cable from FireCel+.

USING THE FLASHLIGHT FEATURE

  • Press the flashlight on/off button (3) to turn on flashlight mode 1 (red LEDs only). Continuing to press the flashlight ON/OFF button (3) will advance through the modes in this order:
  1. Red LEDs only
  2. White LEDs only
  3. Red LEDs blinking
  4. White LEDs blinking
  5. Red and White LEDs SOS
  6. OFF
