Backboard Pads
Mounting Screw (#5)

Use the Backboard Pads as a Template and mark the hole locations on the backboard frame.
Note: Safety glasses required for Step 2.
Drill 9/64 pilot holes through aluminum trim and into Steel backboard frame as shown in

NOT drill through both sides of tube.
Note: Cordless drill recommended for screw installation. Do not over tighten screws.

Secure Backboard pads using screws provided (
screwing the top (

) screw all the way in. Next Insert the other two (
enough to hold pad but
do not
tighten all the way. If you have a 54" Backboard skip to
4.
If you have a 60" or 72" backboard, use the Middle Pad (
and insert screw(s) (

) to the pre-drilled holes to hold pad in place.
5.
Attach Left Board Pad (

) and secure it by screwing the top (
two (

) screws to the pre-drilled holes to hold pad but
tighten all screws at this time.
