5 : INSTALLATION
5.1
Accessories list
The list of accessories included with models AC178IX-18 and AC178BS-18-18 is given at the end of
Sect.3 "TECHNICAL DATA AND CHARACTERISTICS".
5.2
Preliminary operations
5.2.1 Safety instructions for installation
Before installation:
WARNING: The appliance must be installed on a stable, dry, and level floor.
WARNING: Check that the installation area is free of structural impediments.
WARNING: Do not install / use the appliance in damp or freezing premises.
Do not use the appliance outdoors where it is exposed to direct sunlight or rain.
WARNING: Do not tilt the appliance more than 45° when positioning it.
WARNING: Make sure the appliance is installed in compliance with all the applicable
regulations and safety standards.
WARNING: Make sure there is sufficient clearance for heat dissipation at the sides of
the refrigerator.
5.3
Installation instructions
CAUTION: This refrigerator is not designed for built-in installation.
Remove the packaging material completely, including the foam under the refrigerator and the tape that
holds the drawers and shelves in place.
5.3.1 Positioning
Ventilation conditions
The position chosen for installation of the refrigerator must be well ventilated. Do not position the
refrigerator close to heat sources such as gas rings or boilers and ensure it is not exposed to direct
sunlight in order to guarantee optimal refrigeration and save on energy consumption. Do not install the
refrigerator in a damp room, to avoid the formation of rust and oxidation of the wiring. The result of the
refrigerant charge quantity divided by the total space in the room in which the appliance is installed must
be less than 8g / m³.
