4.2.2 First use
Use a soft cloth to clean the interior of the appliance carefully (including accessories). Before switching
on the refrigerator, make sure the interior is dry.
CAUTION: Do not use the appliance with
wet hands or when in contact with water.
Plug the refrigerator into the electrical socket. The
interior light will switch on when the refrigerator door is
opened. Operate the refrigerator for approximately 5/6
hours without loading any foods. After just one hour you
should be able to feel a significant temperature drop
when you open the freezer door.
When switched on, the display shows the default temperature setting: 5°C for the refrigerator and -18°C
for the freezer. The default operating mode is set to "Energy Saving" so the display switches off after 20s
idle; apart using less power, this also extends the life expectancy of the LED bulbs.
Once the set temperature has been reached you can insert the food products, which will take around 2
or 3 hours (longer in summer months) to reach the chilled storage temperature.
WARNING: Do not install the appliance too close to the wall, to avoid noisy operation or
blackening of the surfaces; follow the guidelines in (Fig.5.1).
WARNING: The refrigerator may cause interference with phones, radios and TVs;
position the refrigerator as far as possible from all such devices.
NOTE: You will hear a noise when the compressor starts up. Also the liquids and gases
inside the refrigeration system can produce noises, even with the compressor stopped.
Such occasional noises are completely normal.
NOTE: Open the refrigerator door only when necessary.
