Adding Dexen Electronic Ignition to the CB/CX Traditional Series Line

Valued Continental Hearth Partners,
In response to the unprecedented global supply chain backlog and to provide our customers with product where
possible, Continental will begin offering an electronic ignition alternative on the CB36, CB42 and CX36 models
for sale in all regions. While this change does not affect the overall look or performance of the fireplace, it is
something you need to be aware of from a sales and service standpoint.
We want to ensure your team is aware of some differences between the SIT electronic ignition system used
in the CB36NTRE-1, CB42NTRE and CX36NTRE and the new Dexen alternate system that we are introducing
in the CB36NTREA-1, CB42NTREA and CX36NTREA. Knowing these differences will be key to providing clear
communication with your customers.
Your sales team will need to know that the EFCN/EFCP remote option is not compatible with the CB36NTREA-1,
CB42NTREA and CX36NTREA models and that an anti-condensation switch (ACS) is not available. If a remote
option is required, the CF45/CF60 will need to be purchased. You will also need to be aware that the following
options for these models are different and ask them to refer to the list below.
