rHazard distance (IEC 62471-5:2015)
The distance from the projection lens surface, at which the level of exposure has reached the level of the
applicable Exposure Limit Value, is known as the hazard distance (HD) or safety distance.
Do not look into the projected light from inside the hazard distance (within RG3 range). The eyes may be
damaged by the direct irradiation. It is considered to be safe to look into the projected light from outside the
hazard distance (within RG2 range).

The projector is categorized as the risk group 2 when the hazard distance is less than 1 m (39-3/8"). It is
categorized as the risk group 3 when the hazard distance exceeds 1 m (39-3/8"), and it will be for professional use
instead of consumer use.
In case of risk group 3, there is a possibility of damaging the eyes by direct irradiation when looking into the
projection light from inside the hazard distance (within RG3 range).
In case of risk group 2, it can be used safely without damaging the eyes in any condition.
This projector is categorized as risk group 2.
