5. Remove the oil filter cover (3)/O-ring (4),
spring (5) and oil filter (6) by removing the
oil filter cover bolts (7).

6. Pour the drained oil into suitable container
and dispose of it in an approved manner
(page 123).
Improper disposal of drained fluids is harmful
to the environment.
7. Install the spring, and then install a new oil
filter with the "OUT-SIDE" mark (8) facing
out. Use only the Honda Genuine oil filter or
a filter of equivalent quality specified for
your model. Using the wrong Honda filter or
a non-Honda filter which is not of equivalent
quality may cause engine damage.
Improper installation of the oil filter can cause
serious engine damage.
