12.3. Error Messages-Report

12.3.1. Journal Report
If a problem occurs during fax transmission or reception, one of the following messages will be printed on the sending and jour-
nal reports.
How to output the Journal Report
1. Press [MENU] repeatedly until " PRINT REPORT " is displayed.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] repeatedly to display " JOURNAL REPORT ".
3. Press [SET].
4. The report is printed out.

Most fax communication problems can be resolved by the following steps.
1. Change the transmit level. (Service code: 596, refer to Service Function Table (P.59).)
2. Change the TX speed/RX speed. (Service code: 717/718, refer to Service Function Table (P.59).)

• If the problem remains, see the following "Countermeasure" flow chart.
• Refer to Translation Lists (P.9) for report.
(3) MODE
SND & RCV Communication was interrupted by the STOP button.
SND The document paper is jammed.
SND No document paper.
SND Transmission is finished when the T1 TIMER expires.
SND & RCV
SND DCN is received after DCS transmission.
SND FTT is received after transmission of a 2400BPS training signal.
SND No response after post message is transmitted three times.
SND RTN and PIN are received.
RCV No response after FTT is transmitted.
RCV No post message.
RCV RTN is transmitted.
RCV PIN is transmitted (to PRI-Q).
RCV PIN is transmitted.
RCV Reception is finished when the T1 TIMER expires.
RCV DCN is received after DIS transmission.
RCV DCN is received after FTT transmission.
SND DCN responds to the post message.
SND DCN is received before DIS reception.
RCV Reception is not EOP, EOM PIP, PIN, RTP or RTN.
RCV No response at the other party after MCF or CFR is transmitted.
RCV DCN is received after CFR transmission.
RCV Carrier is cut when the image signal is received.
RCV The document was not received due to memory full.
RCV The fax was rejected by the junk fax prohibitor feature.
SND The multi-station transmission was reject by the user.
SND & RCV Modem error. For the DCN, DCN, etc. abbreviations, refer to Modem
Section (P.30).
