Internal VS External
Speed Controller
The Martin comes with an internal built-in Speed Controller. It can also
be used with our external Daedalus Speed Controller. Please note that
the external Daedalus Speed Controller cannot be stored within the
Martin Box.
Internal Speed Controller
To use the Internal Speed Controller, you'll need to ensure that the
Internal/External Control Selection Switch is set to II. Once this is
selected, you'll be able to use the Internal Direction Switch to change
your flyer's spin direction and the Internal Speed Dial to adjust your
flyer's speed.
Internal Direction Switch
I - Clockwise Z twist (commonly chosen for spinning singles)
0 - Neutral
II - Counterclockwise S twist (commonly used for plying)
When using the Internal Speed Controller, you will need to plug your
power source into the outlet located externally on the Martin's box,
on the right-hand side.
When needing to stop your wheel, scroll your Internal Speed Dial to
0. If you are not going to resume spinning right away, you will want to
position the Internal Direction Switch to Neutral (0).
