Damage resulting from dried
laundry detergent.
If the system has not been used for a
long time (more than 2 months), de-
tergent in the hoses can become vis-
cous or dry out. The hoses can be-
come blocked and would then need
to be cleaned by Customer Service.
Clean the TwinDos system.
To clean the system, you need a
"TwinDosCare" cleaning cartridge,
which is available
from www.shop.miele.com.
The washing machine has a cleaning
program for the TwinDos system. Run-
ning the cleaning program will clean the
hoses inside the washing machine.
Starting the maintenance program
The maintenance program can be
started for compartment  and com-
partment  using the  program-
mable function.
Accessing the programming level
Before you begin, ensure the following:
- The washing machine is switched on
(the program selector is pointing to a
wash program).
- The washing machine door is open.
 Touch the Start/Add laundry sensor
button and hold it down while carry-
ing out steps –.
 Close the washing-machine door.
Wait until the Start/Add laundry sensor
button lights up constantly ...

 ... and then release the Start/Add
laundry sensor button.
After approximately 4 seconds,  will
light up on the time display.
 Touch the  or  sensor button until
 appears on the time display.
 Confirm with the Start/Add laundry
sensor button.
 will light up on the time display.
 Touch the  sensor button.
 will light up on the time display.
 Confirm with the Start/Add laundry
sensor button.
 will flash on the time display.
 Push the cleaning cartridge into com-
partment .
 Confirm with the Start/Add laundry
sensor button.
Compartment  is cleaned.
Tip: To clean compartment , proceed
in the same way as with compartment
, but press the  sensor button twice
in step .  will light up on the time
display.
Cleaning the removable compart-
ment
Detergent residue can cause clogging.
 Use a damp cloth to clean the com-
partment interior when you change
the cartridges.
