Section 3 - Configuration
The virtual server allows you to specify a public port on the M15 for redirection
to an internal LAN IP address and private LAN port. To configure the virtual
server, from the Port Forwarding page click Virtual Server.
If you want to remove a rule, click
a rule, click
in the Edit column. If you wish to create a new rule, click the
Add Rule button.
If you edit or create a rule, the following options will appear:
Name
Enter a name for the rule. Alternatively, select the protocol/
Application Name from the drop-down menu. Depending on
the requested service, the router redirects the external service
request to the appropriate internal host.
Local IP
Enter the IP address of the computer on your local network
that you want to direct the incoming service to. Alternatively,
select the device from the drop-down menu.
Protocol
Select the protocol of the traffic to allow or deny (TCP, UDP,
Both, or Other).
Protocol
If you entered Other above, enter the protocol number. Refer
Number
to https://www.iana.org/assignments/protocol-numbers/
protocol-numbers.xhtml for Assigned Internet Protocol
Numbers.
External Port
Enter the public port for this service.
Internal Port
Enter the private port for this service.
Schedule
Use the drop-down menu to select the time schedule that the
rule will be enabled for. The schedule may be set to Always
Enable, or you can create your own schedules in the Schedules
section. Refer to Refer to Time & Schedule - Schedule on
page 70 for more information.
