  • Page 11 Power Calculations Power Factor Corrections A positive power factor indicates that an inductive load has brought the power system out of phase. Based on the kVAR values of the system, capacitors are available to improve the power factor. By measuring the frequency, phase voltage and kVAR of the system, you can calculate the capacitive load required for this correction.
