plug.Sparkplug shouldbe cleanedby scrapingor wire brushing
and washingwith a commercialsolvent

Engineparts shouldbe keptcleanto reducethe risk of overheat-
ing and ignitionof accumulated debris.
Donot usewater to cleanengineparts.Watercouldcontaminate fuel
system.Use a brushor dry cloth.
Carburetor
Adjustment
Thecarburetoron this engineis not adjustable.
LUBRICATION
Front
Wheel
Bearings
Lubricatethe front wheelbearingswith a No.2 multipurposelithium
greaseafter every 25 hoursof operation.The lubefittings are located
in the rimhub insideeachfront wheel.
Deck Spindles
and Idler Bracket
Lubricatethedeck spindlesand idler bracketwith a No. 2 multipurpose
lithiumgreaseafter every 10hoursof operation.
The deck spindlelube fittings are in the spindlehousings,and
can only be accessedfrom the undersideof thedeck.
Lubricatetheidler bracketthroughthe lubefitting in the top of the
shoulderbolt. Usea pressuregreasegun to lubricatethe spindles
and idlerbracket.
Pivot Points
& Linkage
Lubricateall the pivot pointson the drivesystem,parkingbrakeand lift
linkageat leastonce a seasonwith lightoil.
Rear Wheels
The rear wheelsshouldbe removedfrom theaxles oncea season.
Lubricatetheaxles and the rims wellwith an all purposegreasebefore
re-installing them.
IVT Transmission
The IVT transmissionis sealedat the factoryand is maintenancefree.
The fluidlevelcannotbe checkedand cannotbe changed.Keepthe
area aroundthe transmissioncoolingfan freeof grass and debrisat all
times.
Steering
The steeringarms, pivotshafts,and axles mustbe lubricatedif ever
the steeringeffortincreases,or afterevery 25 hoursof operation.
Lubricateusinga pressuregreasegun and a No.2 multipurpose
lithiumgrease.

Applygreasethroughthe lube fittingon the RH and LH (right
handand left hand,from operator'sposition)steeringarms which
are locatedat rearwardend of the two steeringdrag links.See
Figure12.
