Adjusting the Volume

The VOL knob on the left side of the player sets the speaker and headphones volume. To adjust
the volume, swivel the knob in the appropriate direction.
In addition, there is an independent volume control on the remote. Use the VOL
buttons to adjust this control.

Using Headphones

To listen to the audio using headphones, plug them into the

Adjusting Color Settings and Display Format

The FUNCTION button can be used to adjust brightness, contrast, and display format. You can
set the display format to 16:9 (widescreen) or 4:3.
To adjust color settings or display format:
1. Press FUNCTION repeatedly until the desired setting appears.
2. Use CH– and CH+ to adjust the selected setting.

Bringing Up the On-Screen Display

The On-Screen Display (OSD) gives information about the current disc and playback. To bring up
the OSD, press the DISPLAY button on the remote.

Accessing the Setup Menu

The Setup menu allows you to configure the operation of the player. You can change video,
audio, and language settings, and control access to mature programming. See
"Configuring the Player" on page 25 for more information. To access the Setup menu, press the
SETUP button on the remote.

Charging the Battery

The battery life of the included battery pack is more than
two and a half hours. The battery is located on the back of
the player.
Note: Do not attempt to remove the battery. If the battery
needs to be repaired or replaced, take the player to
a qualified service technician.
To charge the battery, attach one end of the power adapter
to the DC-IN9.0V jack on the player, and the other end to a
power source using the power cable. The CHG light on the
front of the player will shine red when the battery is
charging and will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
