Replacement procedure
1. Remove the computer cover. See "Computer cover" on page 46.
2. Disconnect the rear fan cable from the rear fan connector on the system board.
3. The rear fan is attached to the chassis by four rubber mounts. Break or cut the rubber mounts and gently
pull the rear fan out of the chassis.
4. Align the new rubber mounts of the new rear fan with the corresponding holes in the chassis. Push the
rubber mounts through the holes. Pull the tips of the rubber mounts until the rear fan is secured in place.
5. Connect the rear fan cable to the rear fan connector on the system board.
6. Reinstall all the removed parts. Then, reconnect the power cord and all disconnected cables to the
computer.
