MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Before conducting any maintenance or cleaning task:
• Switch off the device.
• Allow for the device to completely stop moving and cool down.
• Unplug from the power source.
Replacing the grinding wheel (Img. D - E)
• Do not use any damaged grinding wheel or wheels that have lost their shape.
• Do not use grinding wheels that do not comply with the characteristics stated by the manufacturer.
1. Loosen the screws (14) and remove the cover (10).
2. To lock the grinding wheel, insert a screwdriver or other such tool (4 mm diameter) in the hole provided. (E)
3. Loosen the nut (15).
4. Remove the nut, the front flange (16), the grinding wheel (9) and the rear flange (16).
5. Clean the flanges.
6. Mount the grinding wheel again in reverse order.
Maintenance and cleaning
Note the following to keep your chain sharpener functioning:
• Clean and oil all moving parts regularly (except for the drive system).
• Remove dust and dirt with a cloth or a brush.
• Clean the vent slots after each use.
• Clean the machine with a clean, dry cloth.
• Do not use solvents when cleaning the tool (petrol, alcohol, etc.) as they can damage the plastic parts of the tool.
Never use grease. Use environmentally acceptable spray oil.
Storage
• Store unused equipment in a dry, safe place out of the reach of children.
• Thoroughly clean the device before storing it.

ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL

In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in solid packaging. Packaging as well as the unit and accessories are made of
recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly. The tool's plastics components are marked according to their material, which makes it possible to remove
environmental friendly and differentiated because of available collection facilities.

Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
In observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with
national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible
recycling facility.
