SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

When using any equipment, certain safety precautions must be taken in order to avoid injury and/or damage. Please read this manual carefully
before using the tool. Keep this operator's manual for future reference. In case this tool is borrowed, transferred or moved, make sure that the
instruction manual remains with it. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage or accidents caused by failure to comply with these safety
instructions.
• Make yourself familiar with the equipment before using it, by reading and understanding the operating instructions.
• Do not use the tool for purposes beyond the ones specified in Proper Use section.
• Place the tool on a flat and non-slip surface.
• Avoid any unnatural body positions and maintain your balance at all times.
• Be alert, watch your movements and use the power tool with care. Do not use the tool if you are tired or under the influence of medication, alcohol or other
substances. A moment of negligence when using the power tool can result in serious injury.
• Wear suitable personal protective equipment. Always wear safety glasses, ear protection (sound intensity level at workplace can exceed 85 dB(A)) and dust
mask. Wear protective gloves and slip-proof shoes.
• Keep your hair above shoulder length, wear a hair net if needed.
• Do not wear loose-fitting clothes or jewellery, they can catch in moving parts of the tool.
• Keep your are of work clean and well lit. Untidy or poorly lit workplaces can result in accidents.
• Do not use or expose the power tool to rain or humid conditions.
• Do not let children or people under the age of 18 operate the tool.
• Keep bystanders away from your working area. Do not allow other people, especially children, to come into contact with the tool or power cord.
• Do not leave the tool unattended while it is running. Always switch off and unplug the tool when leaving it unattended.
Caution! The grinding wheel does not immediatelly stop moving after switching off the tool. Do not try to slow the wheel down by hand or by
applying pressure sideways.
• Do not overstrain the tool. You will be able to work better and more safely within the specified performance parameters.
• Always check the tool thoroughly before each use. Movable parts should be in good condition, properly mounted and move as intended without getting
stuck.
• Make sure protective devices are correctly attached and in working order before each use.
• Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool manufacturer.
• Replace immediately any worn or defective grinding wheels.
• Switch the tool off and disconnect from power source before switching attachments, making adjustments, carrying out repair, maintenance or cleaning tasks,
or when putting the tool in storage.
• Remove any wrenches or adjusting tools from the immediate working area before switching on the device.
• Maintain your chain sharpener with care. Keep the device free of oil and grease. Follow all maintenance instructions in this manual.
