Standard features
The Hawk 2XL Family has the following standard features:
• Integrated SCSI Controller with reduced complexity SCSI code
• Single-ended SCSI drivers and receivers

Media characteristics
The media used on the drive has a diameter of approximately 3.5 inches (89 mm). The aluminum substrate is
coated with a thin film magnetic material, overcoated with a proprietary protective layer for improved durability
and environmental protection.

• 5411 RPM Spindle. Average latency = 5.54 msec
• Command Queuing of up to 64 commands

• Supports start and stop commands (spindle stops spinning)

• 5 year warranty for ST32151 and ST32155; 3 year warranty for ST31051 and ST31055

Supports SCAM Level 1 at the moment. Will support Level 2 when all presently unresolved requirements
are fully defined. As a factory installed option SCAM can be turned off.
