Fading on and off: The server is in a reduced-power state. To wake the server, press the power-
control button or use the IMM web interface. See
information on logging on to the IMM web interface.
• System-locator LED: Use this LED to visually locate the server among other servers. You can use IBM
Systems Director to light this LED remotely.
Power-supply LEDs
Use this information to view power-supply LEDs.
The following minimum configuration is required for the server to start:
• One microprocessor in microprocessor socket 1
• One 2 GB DIMM for each microprocessor installed (one 2 GB DIMM in slot 3 if only one microprocessor
installed)
• One power supply
• Power cord
• Five cooling fans (fan 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)
• One PCI riser-card assembly in PCI connector 2
• One ServeRAID SAS/SATA controller
AC power-supply LEDs
Use this information to view AC power-supply LEDs.
The following illustration shows the location of the AC power-supply LEDs on the rear of the server. See the
Problem Determination and Service Guide for additional information about solving power-supply problems.

The following table describes the problems that are indicated by various combinations of the power-supply
LEDs on an ac power supply and suggested actions to correct the detected problems.
