4. Time synchronisation

The Junghans MEGA offers you 2 options to synchronise the
time:
4.1. Synchronisation using the Junghans App:
With the Junghans App, you can synchronise your watch
with the time data stored in your smartphone.
1. Download App
2. In the menu, select: Set MEGA watch
3. Select "HELP" button for instructions
4.2. Synchronisation via a radio signal
If you are within the transmission range of one of the time
signal transmitters, you can synchronise the time manually.
Your Junghans MEGA can receive radio signals from the fol-
lowing time signal transmitters:
Time zone
– Europe: DCF77 in Mainflingen
crown position C
– UK:
+/– 00
– Japan: JJY40 near Tokyo and JJY60 near Osaka
+ 01
– USA:
+ 02
+ 03
The range of the transmitters is up to 1500 km depending on
topographical conditions.

Press the corrector in crown position A for 4 seconds. The
watch checks various time signals. During this process, the
second hand remains at the 10 o'clock position for up to
+ 09
2 minutes and then at the 8 o'clock position for up to 15 min-
utes. The hour and minute hands remain at their current
+ 10
position. As soon as a time signal is received, all hands are
automatically set to the time of the time signal transmitter.
+ 11
If time synchronisation with one of the transmitters is not
+ 12
possible, the reception attempt is terminated after 15 min-
utes. Your watch runs on the basis of a quartz watch until
the next synchronisation.
You can cancel manual time synchronisation prematurely as
soon as the second hand reaches the 8 o'clock position. To
do this, briefly press the corrector or pull the crown and push
– 11
it back to position A. The minute and hour hands are reset to
– 10
the original time.
Note: For the best possible reception conditions during time
– 09
synchronisation with one of the time signal transmitters,
– 07
place the watch near a window. Avoid placing the watch next
– 08
to electrical appliances, mobile phones, cordless phones or
– 06
lamps that are powered by transformers. If the watch still
– 04
does not receive a time signal, change the position of the
– 05
watch.

– 02
You can check the reception status of your watch at any
